Most recently, I started working with UCLA Residential Life as a Resident Assistant (RA) helping form a community on my floor. I am the primary point of contact for 93+ residents on my floor and do my best to ensure their safety and well-being.
I create programs and inclusive spaces for residents focusing on education about campus resources, mental health, intersectional environmentalism, and adjusting to campus life. I also am on overnight duty call at least twice a week, where I monitor the building and ensure that my residents are safe.
While I just started this position, I truly am excited about this school year and the opportunity to be a helpful resource for my residents! I try to keep their interests in mind as much as possible when planning events, and hope I can make a positive impact on at least a couple of students during my time as an RA!
